Nokia 6500 software problem

It was released in October or thereabouts, same as the XpressMusic, and with the release of newer models, the support cycle for the Slide has most likely ended with the release of the last update, If you found this or someone's comments helpful or like what that person has to say, please give some Kudos to their post!

You have to shock it to restore all the settings!! Hey , I am using nokia slide for 5 months , and it works perfectly. I updated the software , and when it finished downloading files , before finishing the update , the phone turned off without touching it!!! I tried to turn it on , but still not working!!! Please Help!!! This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

I have the same question 4. Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. I too have had problems with my slide. When new phone software is available, I back everything up to the PC suite, update the software, then attempt to restore all the data back to the phone.

The problem is, everything is re-set to the factory settings regardless! To add insult to injury, my keypad backlight has given up the ghost. Can any of you kind people out there help me? How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to hamraam's post on September 27, I'm pretty sure during the update process the phone is meant to restart? In reply to metalfan's post on September 29, Hi metalfan, thanks for the reply. I can assure you the phone isn't dead.

I lose all my calendar entries and my personalised settings. I would have thought they would be restored. You're right, the phone does restart for what difference it makes, and I'm pretty sure a message pops up to the effect, Transfer complete, disconnect the phone. Contacts 6. Log 7. Settings 8. Operator menu 9. Gallery Media Push to talk Organiser Applications SIM services Web PC connectivity Battery and charger information Index.

Press and hold the power key as shown. When you switch on your phone for the first time, and the phone is in the standby mode, you are asked to get the configuration settings from your service provider network service.
